Worshipful Masters:

 

The following criteria will be use to nominate your lodge’s Master Mason of the Year. 

Each subordinate lodge will submit its letter in writing using the following format to the Grand Secretary no later than May 31.

 

CRITERIA FORMAT

A.  Name of lodge and nominee.

 

B.  Performance of Masonic ritualistic work.  This item will take into consideration the    

     degree in which the brother can perform the following:

 

       1.  Perform the ritualistic works.

       2.  Interpret the teachings of Masonry and how it relates to our daily lives.

 

C.  Acceptance of Masonic responsibilities.  This item will take into consideration the  

      degree in which the brother accomplishes his task within the lodge and during    

       public appearances of the lodge.

 

D.  Community work and accomplishments.  This item will take into consideration the  

      degree in which the brother is involved in the activities of his community and his  

       personal accomplishments.

 

E.  Bearing.  This item will take into consideration the degree in which the brothers’

     conduct improves the image of Prince Hall Masonry in the lodge and community.

 

F.  Knowledge and understanding of Prince Hall the man and founder of our fraternity.

 

Final selection will be made by the Grand Lodge Awards Committee and their selection announced at our Annual Communication.
